Twin Anchor Charolais

Twin Anchor Charolais was established in 2014.  Our operation is a long standing cattle ranch that goes back 3 generations.

Although our purebred operation is relatively new, the Weeks Ranch is a long standing operation rich in heritage.  The farm has been passed from Ross Weeks, to Austin Weeks, to Clifford Weeks, and now Clifford runs the Ranch with help from sons Brian and Keith Weeks.

Austin Weeks was the first to use Charolais bulls at the suggestion of son Cliff.  Austin and Cliff quickly realized the value in char cross animals with the calf performance that was seen in those first calf crops.  Ever since it has been no turning back.  All Weeks cattle had Charolais crossed in.  We have used many mixtures for the cow side, Hereford, Angus, Simmental, Gelbvieh all cross very well but the Charolais remains a constant in the mixture.  The cross is so versatile, it goes with everything and the performance is always there.

In 2014 son Brian purchased his first Charolais bull from Pro-Char at Glenevis, Arizona 105A, a KCH Copyrite son.  He was very impressed with this bull and began contemplating buying some purebred females to breed with him and start a purebred herd.  Brian dove in head first and purchased a few females from both Pro-Char and MacMillan Charolais.  Clifford had always been interested in the purebred industry as well and he also purchased females from these 2 herds the following year.  There began our journey and we added our first high profile bull the following year, purchasing a red Kingston son, Pro-Char El Paso 99B for 15,500.00.

Our first Bull sale was held in conjunction with Poplar Bluff Stock Farm in 2017, and was a huge success.  We continue to spend money on upgrading females and buying the best possible bulls that we think will work in our herd.  As we ourselves are commercial cow/calf men, we mold our herd with the commercial cattleman in mind.  Our bulls are fed to put on Muscle and gain power without over doing it.  We don't want to compromise on soundness of foot and breeding agility.

Our Sale was originally held the last Tuesday of March, but since has changed to the first Wednesday in March.  Please feel free to call our stop in and view the cattle.  We would be happy to have you.
